Japanese culture has influenced the New York aesthetic greatly. Locals are overly exposed to Japanese restaurants and Sake bars; they’ve become regular sights. But what new Yorkers have missed for years is Karaoke with a twist: One that can accommodate doubles and parties of larger sizes. Personal spacious booths scattered throughout the space enable professional and weak singers to have embarrassments left to themselves, while the larger room, set to the front, brings people together. Keeping the location discrete to most mid-town business men and shoppers ( that being because the bar is raised one floor off the street) 35 Duet Karaoke Bar attracts fun regulars.
Personally, this reviewer found the colorful interior to be galvanizing. The actual bar was plush with specialty drinks like Level vodka, Glen Levett Malt Scotch, and Beefeater Gin. Completed by benevolent Asian women, drinks almost have a cheerful taste themselves. The entire atmosphere of the 35 Duet Karaoke Bar is above all happy. This bonafied Bar does its job well.
