Anything Store

Reviewed By Cole Fox

A New York Thing

Like a diamond in the rough, the Anything store of Hester street emanates color and style through the glorious grit of Chinese influenced South Eastern Manhattan. Neighbored by Asian fish markets and laundromats, you’d have to be wandering aimlessly through the side streets of Essex Ave. and have eyes widely peeled to catch this spot. The company name, short for A N.Y. Thing, represents just that: Modern urban apparel designed by New Yorkers, for New Yorkers. Anything offers a huge assortment of colorful shirts, snap-back caps, and skullies, all blessed with dope designs reminiscent of what you’d expect to see graffitied on the side of an abandoned L.E.S. building. Reasonable prices and chill staff are constant, while new clothing and designs periodically flow from the sick minds of the Anything graphic designers. The company’s slogan, Never not working, is truly representative of A - N.Y. - Boutique.
